Janine Rae A.K.A. After School Art Club
Hi! I’m Janine Rae, a.k.a. After School Art Club, our resident handpoke and machine-combo tattooer. Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, my work is inspired by Art Deco and Art Nouveau, which are popular architectural styles in my hometown and Chicago.
I aim to provide space and community for queer & femme folk in SLO by hosting art shows (@fruitcake.community) with my friends, singing and playing music, and photographing portraiture and concerts!
With my tattooing, I’m most proud that every one of my pieces is unique and non-repeatable— from flash to custom. I believe that everybody’s piece should be unique, to celebrate each person’s individuality.
